A pleasant new experience for me to have a sharing session with Sandeep Beepat. When I first chatting with him who did not want to be called "Mr" so apologies if it seems that I immediately mentioned his name and seemed impolite hehe.
Sandeep Beepat is a researcher who is currently focusing on sponge ecology and physiology. He is currently studying PhD and getting a scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington. He studied at the University of Mauritius and as a research assistant, training at the Mauritius Oceanography Institute. Sandeep is pursuing environmental awareness.
My first impression when meeting at group call with Sandeep Beepat, he is very humble, easy-going, and has very wide insight and experience. I am also surprised that Sandeep can speak in multi-languages such as Hindi, English, Denish, and French. I think people who speak a variety of languages have a big gate to improve their skills in the international world and include someone who is needed now. He said Indonesia was a beautiful country and had visited Indonesia to work at it
Sandeep beep is tolerance me and my awardee friends who are not fluent in English when sharing session. Sandeep provides tips and tricks when sharing. About how to survive abroad, how do we stay true to our desired dreams. Sandeep has always moved from other country and sometimes his accents are often confused.
The most memorable thing when sharing with Sandeep is about him constantly encouraging us even though we are not too sure how to reach our dream. He said :
"Don't worry too much about your English skills, if you have a dream to achieve, then fight for it"
Because in the future we will be able to adapt when we study abroad. For what we can speak fluent in English but do not have basic thoughts about what will be continued later?
That way I am even more excited to learn and develop myself.
"Sometimes, people have to fall first until it's a time they just know the meaning of the word rises"
I plan to continue my studies abroad after working in Indonesia. It feels like my adventurous spirit is not complete if I don't pursue my dreams later. I feel like I have some ammunition to move and reach it.
Thank you very much Sandeep Beepat for opening my eyes to the workings of the education world out there.h
